These 10 Date Night Dinner Ideas are sure to help you have the best date night!
It’s pretty common at our home that many times our date nights are at home after the kids go to bed. I’ll admit here lately, once the kids are in bed all my husband and I want to do is sit down and watch TV or a movie…do nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
I’m not sure if it’s just the end of the year rush but we have been so busy lately. I’m so ready for summer and everything to just slow down a bit.
In the midst of that though, we really do like to do some type of dinner or dessert date night at least every other week if not every week after the kids bedtime. For us, it’s the most realistic way that we can actually get a date night. The phone goes off and we unplug. I look forward to it, just time to catch up and really talk to each other without distraction.
I’m hoping we can get back to a routine again of doing these much more regularly now that summer is upon us and play some card games and just sit outside since it’s staying light longer.
I love our area that we live in and it’s so peaceful and nice to sit outside and relax. I feel like this is the time of year last year where everything just got so crazy busy, I’m holding on tight trying not to let that happen again.

I’m pinning this to try some of these ideas. I’m n that same time of life as you, date nights are typically after the kids go to bed, and we both seem to be so exhausted lately! I look forward to the summer as well, when the days are longer so it doesn’t seem like the moment the kids get to sleep it’s already time for us to go to sleep!
These are great dinner ideas. I absolutely love crab legs. I would have to take the meat out for my kiddos with that one. My husband is a big rib fan, so I am sure that will be the first of many dishes we will try. Thanks!
I enjoy homemade pasta and pizza most of the time. A nice bowl of ramen is also great. Comfort food during date nights at home is my kind of thing.
We don’t do any kind of date night, but I wish we did. Thanks for the ideas. I’ll have to mention them to my husband.
My husband and I are the exact way. Once baby is in bed, all we want to do is sit on the couch and watch Netflix. But branching out and making some food would be fun. I’ve always wanted to try making crab legs at home.
These all look like great options, especially if we were to cook them together, that would be a fun date night. We have had many date nights at home because with us being helicopter parents, it’s hard to trust anyone to take good care of our daughter while we are out.
Cooking together does sound fun! I feel your pain with trusting someone to watch the kids, we are in that same boat too! Thankfully we have grandparents that help out nearby but obviously can’t do it every week so at home is a great option!
I hate cooking, too! However, it’s wonderful to enjoy a well-planned evening with the hubby, so I’m looking forward to trying a few of these recipes. I think he’ll enjoy the Mediterranean Grilled Steaks most of all. (I’m more of a
Grilled Baby Back Ribs girl.)
Oh I love both of those options!
Sea food is always the meal that DH and I choose when having an in home date night! It is something we don’t eat often so it is a special treat when the time is right!
Oooh these are such great ideas! I’ve been running out of dishes the past weeks and these are absolutely perfect as I go and treat my beau!
These are wonderful and look amazing. Date nights can be tough and ideas like this take the headache out of trying to plan something.
