It’s the final menu plan for the month of September, are you ready for cooler weather and warm foods?
I can’t believe it’s nearly October. October is my absolute favorite month of the year and it’s here! Although, I want the month to slow down because I like to soak it all in.
The weather, the food, the clothes, the festivals…it’s all just perfect in October.
Last October, I ended up having an emergency appendectomy and was basically out of commission for nearly 2 weeks, so I’m hopeful this year will be a little more boring and not nearly as painful.
Do you need help with menu planning?
I just recently updated my menu planning resources to include a menu plan service for traditional meal plans and freezer cooking meal plans.
Each of these are great alternatives if you prefer to have your menu all ready for you each month with the grocery list.
If you want to do all your cooking in just ONE DAY, then be sure to check out the freezer cooking meal plan.
Do you need a few tips for menu planning?
A few tips, I like to add a new recipe to my menu each week. This way it keeps us trying new things but also allows us to not always have the same recipes each week.
It’s a great way to find out some new recipes that may be featured regularly on your menu.
I also like to utilize leftovers. We do several leftover nights throughout the week, where I will use the leftovers and create something different with it.
A simple example would be making Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken and using it for sandwiches one night and stuffed in a baked potato the following night. This way we get two different meals out of the same basic recipe.
Now, it’s time for the menu!
