Make the most delicious Gluten-Free Strawberry Cobbler with fresh strawberries, topped with Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Topping!
It’s that time of year for warm, delicious desserts with lots of fresh produce. If you enjoyed the Blackberry Cobbler that I shared last week, then you will love this Strawberry Cobbler too, both of these can be made gluten-free! This dessert is simple and made with pantry-style ingredients.
Remember this recipe does use fresh strawberries, not canned strawberry filling.
How do you make a Gluten-Free Strawberry Cobbler?
Gluten-Free Strawberry Cobbler is easy to bake in the oven and make with a biscuit topping. The only swap needed is to use Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour. This gluten-free flour blend needs to be a 1:1 switch, meaning it can equally be interchanged with regular flour.
We prefer to use King Arthur Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour or Better Batter, but others like Bob’s Red Mill and Cup 4 Cup work well too.
Tips for Making Gluten-Free Cobbler:
This recipe can be made in a 9×13 or round 9-inch baking dish. The full ingredients list and instructions will be in the recipe card below these are a few tips to keep in mind while preparing this easy dessert.
This recipe uses fresh strawberries, do not use frozen or canned, if you do then it will alter this recipe. The frozen strawberries have too much liquid and will turn your batter red.
This recipe will have a biscuit topping as opposed to crisps with an oat topping, if you want to make a crisp, check out this Gluten-Free Blueberry Crisp.
The strawberry mixture will combine granulated sugar with strawberries while the cobbler mixture will use brown sugar and maple syrup to sweeten it.
When preparing this dessert, pour the butter into the pan, and then do not mix it with the strawberries. Think of it in layers, first is the butter, then the strawberries, and then the cobbler topping. No layers will be mixed, it will then be baked at 350 degrees F for up to 40 minutes until it’s golden brown on top.
This easy cobbler pairs wonderfully with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped topping. The warm cobbler flavor paired with the ice cream is the perfect match providing a wonderful taste.
We love easy recipes in the spring and summer months and this Gluten-Free Strawberry Cobbler checks all the boxes. Remember that you can always use blueberries too if you have those on hand. The blueberries turn out wonderfully as well.
Enjoy this delicious cobbler!
