It is easiest to leave the pie crust in the aluminum pan and cook the entire pie in the aluminum pie pan. If you do use a ceramic or glass pie pan then the cooking time may change a bit due to the material of the pan.

This recipe is simple to make gluten-free with a few swaps including using a gluten-free all-purpose flour. This needs to be a 1:1 swap such as Better Batter, King Arthur, or Cup 4 Cup.

Do the types of apples matter when preparing an apple pie?
Any apple can be used to make apple pie; however, there are some that tend to be better than others.
The most important item when choosing an apple is to choose one that is firm. They are going to be baked and you want the cooked apples to keep their texture and shape for the most part when baking.
I always stick to Gala apples, Honeycrisp apples, and Braeburn Apples when making an apple pie because these tend to hold their shape the best. These apples are great choices as a firmer apple will always be your best choice.

Tips for Making Ninja Foodi Apple Pie:
Now it’s time to make the best apple pie with this easy recipe that uses simple ingredients.
First thing you will want to prepare your own apple pie filling with the step-by-step instructions below this includes using apple pie spice and ground cinnamon to add flavor to your apples.
Once your filling is prepared, place that into the pie crust which should be in an aluminum pie pan.
Next, it’s time to make the topping which combines flour, butter, brown sugar, and additional apple pie spice. Remember to use softened butter, not melted butter.
The butter can be placed out about an hour or two before use and let it come to room temperature, this will soften it enough for the crumble topping.
This crumble topping will be evenly placed on top of the pie.
After that, you are ready to make this easy recipe, simply tent it with aluminum foil and bake it in the Ninja Foodi using the wire rack that is provided with the multi-cooker.
How do you store Ninja Foodi Apple Pie?
Cover the cooled pie in plastic wrap and then place in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. When ready to serve, cut a slice and warm it for 2-3 minutes in the microwave in a microwave-safe dish.
