19-inch Pie Crust (Gluten-Free or Regular), Thawed
3LargeRed Apples, Peeled & Sliced (Gala, Honeycrisp or Braeburn)
1/4CupGluten-Free or Regular All-Purpose Flour
1/2CupLight Brown Sugar, Packed
1tspGround Cinnamon
1tspApple Pie Spice
Crumble
1CupGluten-Free or Regular All-Purpose Flour
1/2CupLight Brown Sugar, Packed
1tspApple Pie Spice
1/2CupSalted Butter, Softened
Instructions
Preheat the Ninja Foodi BAKE function at 375°F for 5 minutes.
Place the cut apples into a large bowl.
Add the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and apple pie spice. Mix to coat with the seasoning.
Place the apples evenly in the thawed pie crust and set aside.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, and apple pie spice.
Add the butter to the mix to create a crumble.
Pour the crumble over the pie, and gently press it down.
Place the pie crust on the lower part of the wire rack.
Cover loosely with aluminum foil.
Place in preheated Ninja Foodi.
Cook covered for 35-45 minutes. When inserting a toothpick the apples will be nice and tender. Check it at 35 minutes. The time will vary depending on the type of apples used. Gala apples is 35 minutes.
Take the cover off and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes or until golden.
Carefully remove and cool then serve.
Notes
Gluten-Free Pie Crust can be found at Sprouts or Whole Foods.
The entire pie crust in the aluminum pan can be inserted into the Ninja Foodi. Do not take it out of the pan.
We used a frozen pie crust but this can be made with a homemade pie crust or a refrigerated crust too.
