Use your pellet grill or smoker to make this quick and easy Smoked Pizza, ready in less than 20 minutes!
We already know how much I love a good grilled pizza, but you can easily make one on your pellet grill too. Think woodfire grill meets smoker, you get the best flavors in minutes and without actually having a woodfire grill!
What do you need for Pellet Grill Smoked Pizza?
This recipe works best with a baking stone or pizza stone. This stone can handle high heat and be put right into your smoker.
Be sure to coat the stone lightly with flour or cornmeal so that the pizza does not stick to the stone while cooking.
How long do you cook a pizza on a pellet grill or smoker?
The pellet grill should be preheated to 450 degrees F, then you can cook the pizza for 10-15 minutes until it’s nice and bubbly on top.
Tips for Pellet Grill Smoked Pizza:
When making this pizza, use cheese that comes in a block and shred it at home with a grater.
The cheese that is pre-shredded has an additive that keeps it from sticking, but it also keeps it from melting as well as the block of cheese that is freshly shredded.
Watch the pizza closely because all smokers tend to heat differently. If you notice that one side of the pizza is cooking faster than the other carefully rotate it if needed throughout the cooking time.
This would happen if the pellet grill or smoker heats unevenly, which happens quite a bit.
Any pizza toppings and pizza dough can be used to make this, so that can be customized to your preference. We love this pizza dough recipe, it works well with this pizza.
I also find the store-bought dough from Sprouts works well too for a gluten-free pizza.
What should you pair Smoked Pizza with?
This Smoked Pizza is wonderful with Homemade Ranch and Air Fryer Garlic Bread!
Enjoy!
