During the holidays, it’s all about entertaining and let’s face it sometimes, the ham and turkey gets old.  In those times, let’s bring out the showstopper…steaks!  Not just any steaks either, but the best cuts, taste, and quality.  I recently made these Balsamic Glazed Steaks using mushrooms, onions, and a little bit of sauce.  We decided to add these to T-Bone Steaks from Kansas City Steak Company.  These were absolutely delicious, juicy and perfect for a dinner night with friends for the holidays.

I can honestly say the absolute best deal you will find for the holidays is the Steak Gift Basket from Kansas City Steak Company.  My husband and I are actually planning a Christmas date now to do at-home and make the Filet Mignon.  I’m already looking forward to that upcoming date soon.

I do love a good steak and always have with just a little bit of pink in the middle.  How do you prefer your steak?  My husband wants his well done, but I promise the best is with just a hint of pink.  It just makes all the difference between juicy and dry.  These steaks pair wonderfully with a salad, mashed potatoes, and bread.  That’s how we do steaks around here these days.  Now, you can even pair them with a glass of wine to complete the meal too.

Balsamic Glazed Steaks

Yield: 2 T-Bone Steaks

Ingredients:

  • 2 T-Bone Steaks
  • 1/2 Cup Sliced Mushrooms
  • 1/2 Cup Diced White Onions
  • 4 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • 1 Tsp Salt

Directions:

  1. Grill the steaks on medium-high heat on both sides until your desired doneness.
  2. In a small pan, sauté the mushrooms and onions in the vinegar, oil, garlic, and salt.
  3. Let this simmer for 5-10 minutes until the onions and mushrooms are soft.
  4. Serve topped over the steaks.

The Balsamic Glazed Steaks make for a wonderful choice for a party or having dinner guests during the holidays.  I simply sauté the mushrooms and onions with Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil plus a clove of garlic.  It already sounds wonderful to me all over again!  Once the glaze is nicely created, simply top it over the steaks to serve.

These looks and sound delicious. I am not much of a cook, but I bet my whole family would enjoy this recipe. I’ve really stuck in a rut when it comes to dinner lately. So, finding this is perfect timing for me.

I love Balsamic on steaks. I’ve never followed any kind of recipe – but yours is a keeper. I love the idea of the mushrooms and the simple list of ingredients. Can’t wait to give this a try.

We are definitely a meat and potatoes kind of house, especially in the cold and gross winter. I have never tried a balsamic glaze on steak, but I would love to try it. Sounds like it would be the perfect sweet and spicy addition!

I haven’t eaten meat in a few years, and never really truly enjoyed it. My husband on the other hand loves a good steak! He’s from Italy and so he eats his as simple as possible (with just a pinch of salt and some olive oil). He doesn’t understand how us North Americans douse our steaks in BBQ sauce! lol!
