Get ready to make your favorite coffee shop drink right at home with this Easy Iced Mocha!
Do you regularly order an Iced Mocha at your favorite coffee shop? If so, save your money and make it right at home. I shared this recipe almost 10 years ago but it was time for an update!
What is an Iced Mocha?
Iced Mocha is basically chocolate sauce, brewed coffee or espresso, and milk. Then, you can always top it off with whipped cream.
Tips for Making this Easy Iced Mocha:
One thing I’ve found to work well with making Iced Mocha is to combine the chocolate with the hot coffee. This can be mixed together well and then simply pour it over the ice and add your milk.
If you prefer you can also add the ice in last, it’s completely up to you. The chocolate is much easier to combine when the coffee is hot.
This can also be made with chocolate powder instead of chocolate sauce; however, I have found the sauce tastes better if you really want a stronger chocolate taste.
If you use powder, again mix it with the hot coffee then pour it into the cup.
I learned this little tidbit when I worked at a coffee shop for many years.
If you want it to taste more like your coffee shop recipe, then use espresso instead of regular coffee.
What is the difference between and Iced Latte and Iced Mocha?
The only difference between Iced Latte and Iced Mocha is the chocolate sauce or powder. The mocha is going to be chocolate, the latte will be without flavor unless you add one in.
As you learn to make coffee drinks, you will notice that really the base of each coffee drink is very similar, it’s the flavorings and add-ins that really change up the drink.
Now let’s start the day with a tasty coffee drink!
