Last week, we loaded up our Honda and went on a road trip adventure to Pensacola Beach, Florida. This trip was all thanks to Innisfree Hotels and Holiday Inn Resort on Pensacola Beach. My family and I were ask to spend a week at the Holiday Inn Resort and get the full family experience of Pensacola Beach. I have to say we were blown away, it is now one of the top vacation spots on our list.
We actually visited Orlando last year on our family vacation and my husband said in comparison he loved Pensacola Beach enough to move there. The idea crossed our minds multiple times while we there even more so when we came back to temperatures above 100*!
The Holiday Inn Resort is located right on the beach, just steps away from your hotel room are miles of white sand. My son thought it was a huge sandbox and was in heaven!
We took advantage of all the perks the hotel has to offer. This is an extremely family friendly hotel, each day there are activities for kids. The activities include pirate and mermaid shows at the pool, face painting, movie nights by the pool, and much more!
The pool was by far my son’s favorite part. He woke up every morning looking at this view, and I have to say I could get used to that! He called the pool the ‘blue pool’ and the beach was the ‘white pool’ because of the sand, so each morning we had to go visit both pools. I’m pretty sure he turned into a fish while we were there.
The pool consists of a lazy river complete with waterfall and a bridge. We enjoyed being able to float on a raft and soak up some sun around the lazy river all afternoon!
We also did not have to walk far for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The restaurant in the hotel, Riptides, is perfect for all meals right by the pool or inside. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the TV in the booth! Each booth has a TV which was really nice for my husband and I. My son was able to watch a few morning shows while we enjoyed a quiet breakfast. There is also a wonderful coffee bar inside the restaurant that we visited daily for our morning coffee drinks.
One of our favorite events at the hotel were the movie nights. Just after sunset they setup a huge screen right by the pool then serve popcorn while you kick back on a lounge chair and enjoy a movie. We were able to watch Happy Feet and Monsters Inc.
Overall, this was by far one of the best vacations we have ever had. The hotel itself is fabulous for families and even those without kids as well. There are plenty of activities for everyone and it’s complete with one of the most friendly and helpful staffs.
