Make the BEST Ninja Foodi Roast with this Ninja Foodi Mississippi Pot Roast that uses the pressure cooker function of the Ninja Foodi!
I think I may have stumbled on to my FAVORITE roast recipe ever, and that says a lot because I happen to LOVE this Slow Cooker Maple Roast too…but this Mississippi Pot Roast is just a melt-in-your-mouth roast.
This Ninja Foodi Roast will use the pressure cooker function of the Ninja Foodi Multi-Cooker.
This Ninja Foodi Roast recipe uses both the saute function of the Ninja Foodi along with the pressure cooker function. This same method can be used for a variety of Ninja Foodi Roast recipes.
The Mississippi Pot Roast has been around for decades of course, but our family just discovered how delicious this roast was recently and it was one of those meals that no one complained. Isn’t that nice? I sure thought so!
How do you make Mississippi Pot Roast into Gluten-Free Mississippi Pot Roast?
This recipe was easy to make gluten-free with a swap of gravy, we decided to use Gluten-Free Gravy Packets instead of the “Au Jus” that is in many Mississippi Pot Roast recipes.
It worked out wonderfully and we were all able to enjoy it.
Tips for Making Ninja Foodi Mississippi Pot Roast:
The first thing we did was to coat the pot of the Ninja Foodi with olive oil to sear the roast. This is best done with a brush, pour the olive oil into the pot and brush it around to really coat the pot well.
Once done, sear the meat on both sides just for a few minutes on high heat using the saute function. Once you have that done, it’s time to add the remaining ingredients and cook up this tasty pot roast.
Do you have to use Pepperoncini Peppers?
These peppers are a key ingredient in this recipe which is what is really going to give it flavor. They are not spicy at all, similar to the ‘heat’ of bell pepper. They give more flavor than actual spice.
These are a very mild chili pepper.
Be sure to use these as they are an important part of that great flavor.
Are you ready for this tasty roast? Let’s make this Ninja Foodi Mississippi Pot Roast, it’ll soon be your all-time favorite Ninja Foodi Roast recipe!
We paired ours with Ninja Foodi Mashed Potatoes and Carrots.
Enjoy!

I have a large collection of recipes, OMG, this is the most incredible pot raost I have ever made! I added a whole stick of butter and a packet of Lip[ton onion soup mix and lots of peppercinni’s.
Thank you so much for this wonderful and delicious recipe!!
So happy to hear that! Glad you enjoyed it.
How long would you cook with a 2lb roast? Is 60 mins still ok?
It’s typically about 20 minutes per pound give/take a few minutes, so I’d probably do about 45 minutes for 2 pounds.
How can I learn more tricks like this? About 20 min /LB? Thanks!
Just a quick note, I was able to find Ranch dressing mix in a spicy variety. It adds just enough kick to be pleasant. Happy Halloween everyone.
That sounds great! Thanks for sharing!!
could I use a London Broil instead of Chuck Roast? Picked up the wrong meat….
I would read over this recipe for a London broil, I haven’t used it for this recipe and generally it’s a tougher cut of meat that can get more tough the longer it’s cooked.

If my husband likes med rare is it ok to cook the roast for less time
I haven’t tried that before because we like them well, but I would guess it would def work.
I made this in our Ninja and my husband said it was by far the most tender pot roast he’s ever had. He’s now excited to show off this great dish to friends and family. We made it exactly the way the recipe was written and it came out just perfect. Thank you!!!!! I bought a Ninja cookbook and at best have found 2 recipes that interested me. From you, I’ve already found 4 or 5 and only discovered you a week ago. Thank you thank you thank you!
I’m so happy to hear that. This is one of our favorites too, I’m making it this week also. 🙂
As soon as it came to pressure i got the water warning
I’ve never had that happen before, if you prepared it per the recipe there should have been plenty of liquid. When you opened the lid was there liquid in it?
This roast sounds and looks good. Can I put more pepperocini peppers in the pot? Like 15.
Yes if you prefer you can, it may change the flavor some but I add more occasionally too.
I get the “vent” warning, which says it shuts off in 5 minutes unless I vent it.
After it’s cooked?
Can you add vegetables such as potatoes & carrots to this recipe?
I haven’t done this one with veggies, it may work but you also may need some extra liquid in it for them to fully cook.
I love this recipe! It is my husbands favorite! When done, I take the meat out and add cArrots onions and mushrooms and seal it to cook two more minutes. I also add the cornstarch to it at this time!
That’s a fantastic idea!!
Thank you for the recipe!
Can you suggest a replacement for the pepper juice?
I’d probably do beef broth, but the pepper juice really gives a good flavor too.
I’ve made this recipe in my slow cooker many times and my family loves it. Will 1 hr in a pressure cooker result in a roast that is fork tender? I am thinking about getting a Ninja Foodi pressure cooker but curious how my favor recipes would translate.
Mine has always been fork tender when I do the pressure cooker.
Can I put potatoes and carrots along with this?
I haven’t added those in with this recipe but I do believe you could add them; however, you’d want to cook the roast, then add them in for 5 minutes or so at the end because the vegetables will cook much faster than the roast.
If I have a bigger roast almost 6lbs do I double the seasonings?
I would probably add additional seasoning.
Hi! I’ve never bought roast before. Looking online, it says for 3 lb it’s $45. Is that normal? Thanks
It depends I guess on where you live? Here that would be somewhere around $15-20, def not $45.
Can this be done with a frozen roast or does it need to be thawed?
With a frozen roast, I’d likely add another 30 minutes onto the cook time. Personally, I prefer to thaw it first.
This Mississippi gal had to say this was Yummy Y’all. Good recipe that’s perfectly spicy. I had a 2 lb chuck roast and cooked it for 45 minutes and let release 15 minutes.. Very easy and delicious.
Have you cooked whole potatoes in with this?
I haven’t, but it would likely work just fine. I’d probably slice them in half first.
We’ve been making this for over a year now. It’s my husband absolute favorite! I remove the roast at the end and add cut up carrots, onions and sometimes potatoes and set the pc for two minutes more. Happy Hubby Dinner for certain!
So glad you love it, we do too!!
Delishious!
