Get ready for a tasty snack with these Ninja Foodi Apple Chips that are dehydrated in the Ninja Foodi.
Today we are going to focus on using the dehydrator function of the Ninja Foodi to make these delicious Apple Chips, the perfect go-to snack.
The first thing to remember is that this is going to take 8 hours. This is a great recipe to set in the Ninja Foodi and leave it all day while running errands or off to work.
How do you dehydrate apples in the Ninja Foodi?
It is so simple to dehydrate apples in the Ninja Foodi. For reference, be sure to check out this Ninja Foodi Dehydrate Chart.
This chart will give you the specific times for a variety of different fruit, vegetables, and jerky too. It’s a great starting point.
The first thing you will need is the dehydrator stand or the wire racks that came with your Ninja Foodi.
Once you have this, it’s best to go ahead and rinse and cut the apple. The core can be removed first as well, but I find it’s pretty simple to slice it without removing the core. Once the apples are dehydrated, the seeds just fall right out.
That means this is going to be up to you on how you prefer to slice it into chips, they do need to be about 1/8 inch thick.
Once you have the apples sliced, evenly place them on the dehydrator rack. We found doing 2 apples was a good amount to last a few days.
When they are evenly placed in the pot of the Ninja Foodi, use the lid that’s attached to the Foodi and shut it, then turn it to the dehydrator function. According to the chart, it is set to 135*F; however, I set ours to 150*F and that worked perfectly at 8 hours.
Tips for Making Ninja Foodi Apple Chips:
Once the apples are dehydrated, remove them from the Ninja Foodi and place them in a bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon. If you did not core the apple, you can also pop the seeds out.
These can be stored in an airtight container for 2-3 days, too much longer after that and they begin to get softer and not as crunchy.
Remember that this method can be done for a variety of fruits and vegetables.

How thick should the slices be?
Less than 1/8 in thick, the thinner they are the more crisp they will be.
