Since the start of this blog, I have been cooking daily and discovering some of my favorite kitchen gadgets. I thought I’d start a new series on Sundays of highlighting one that I have been using and what my thoughts are of it.
I first saw this peeler over at my sister-in-law’s and after using an old fashioned peeler for potatoes and my hand going numb, I knew I had to find one of these. I looked for one for quite a while then found one at a restaurant supply store and it was under $5, so I had to pick it up!
Then, after purchasing it at the store, I realized I should have just looked it up on Amazon! You can find the peeler here on Amazon, it’s the Chef’n PalmPeeler.
Just about anything that needs peeling, I use this for! It has become one of my favorite little gadgets and my hand is no longer cramping after peeling potatoes!
Do you have this peeler? What do you think?
Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post, my hand and I are thankful for this peeler. The link is part of Amazon Affiliates.

Can show us a picture or describe more how it’s better?
I don’t have a picture handy, but basically for me it was much easier b/c it went with the natural flow of my hand. With the traditional peeler, the gripping the peeler is what eventually makes my hand cramp up etc. This one hooks on to your finger then fits the form of your hand making it much easier. I would also suggest if you go to the Amazon link reading the reviews and you’ll see many comments as far as pro’s and con’s as well.
I LOVE these! I have 2 and I’m not sure I still have one of the old-school peelers in the house. My kids, 10 & 12, use these and (knock on wood) haven’t had any mishaps — no missing fingers or tips of fingers!
