Ever since my kids discovered candy it’s all I here, “I want Candy!” The sad thing for them is that I rarely have it in my home. They may want it but not only is it not great for them to have regularly because of their behavior afterwards but it’s also not good for their nutrition either. The great thing is that they LOVE fruit and fruit is basically the earth’s natural candy, right? Make this tasty Honey Tossed Fruit Salad.
To curb the sweet teeth in our home, I put a huge bowl of Cuties on out the table so that my kids can help themselves when they feel that sweet tooth coming on. I am hoping to hear “I want Cuties” more than “I want Candy”! I also decided to whip up a delicious Honey Tossed Fruit Salad with my nephew and son.
This fruit salad is so simple that the kids can help make it. I love to add it to lunches or simply have it as a fresh snack throughout the day. It can be made with a variety of fruits that you have on hand. I opted for Cuties Mandarins, Raspberries, Banana, Granola, and then Honey!
This way after school, we have a tasty treat waiting on us. On top of that I even have been bringing Cuties along with us in the car. My kids go to the same school as my nephews and they love to play after school.
This way they all get a healthy snack to give them some more energy to run and play for a while or bust a move!
How do you get your kids eating healthy? Have you tried this sweet treat yet? It’s time to sing “I want Cuties” all day long!
