Celebrate summer with delicious Hawaiian Hot Dogs!
This post is sponsored; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
The 4th of July was wonderful and full of great food, was it in your household too? We have been basically doing cookouts all summer long and still have more time to go. I have to admit it’s becoming one of my favorite times of the year. I used to always love the fall the best but summer is quickly pulling rank. This past week, we decided to add a little extra touch to our hot dogs and create Hawaiian Hot Dogs with Wonder bread.
As a kid, we had a Wonder bread factory nearby, so when we drove by that delicious smell would fill the air of freshly baked bread. I still remember we we go to the local fair and Wonder bread would always hand out these miniature loaves of bread.
We could never leave until we got our loaf and there really was nothing better, it was amazing. That was decades ago and still I remember it, it was a staple in my childhood. Now, I get to share that same staple with my kids with the Wonder Classic White Hamburger & Hot Dogs Buns.
The best part is that right now the classic American bread brand, Wonder, has partnered with the USO to honor the service of military men and women. If you visit your local retailer, you will find camouflage packaging on hamburger and hot dogs buns that supports the “Camo for A Cause” campaign.
In our family that’s a huge deal because we are very close with a military family and have watched their selfless sacrifice to this country. We have cookouts with them often throughout the summer season, so I love that we can choose products that also support them as well.
Honestly, it all goes hand in hand because without all those that serve, we would not be sitting around enjoying backyard cookouts and the freedom we have.
Of course, we always like to add a few twist to the foods we served, this time it was creating Hawaiian Hot Dogs. I decided to adapt my Hawaiian Chicken Sliders to make these delicious hot dogs.
