This weekend, we were not really planning to plant our flower beds; however, this warm weather gave us the bug. Today, it’s nearly 90*! I am fairly certain we will not be seeing anymore cool days, so we headed out to the local nursery to purchase flowers and plant!
We spent most of the day Saturday planting and working in the yard.
This is the first year we have used red mulch, and I actually love the way it turned out! It was a nice change from cypress!
That flower coming up there is a beautiful lily. I look forward to seeing it bloom each year; however, it does not live long.
This year we also purchased honeysuckle to grow up the trellises on the side of our house. It should bloom with pink and yellow flowers. It also comes back each year, I’m anticipating it looking beautiful!
Here is our front yard, all ready for spring! It is so pleasant to see green grass and bright burst of color! It makes me really love this time of year despite the terrible allergies!
Now a little quiz…
What is this creature on my window?
Did you plant flowers this weekend? I know many people around the Oklahoma area did, what did you plant? For those that have not planted yet, what are you planning to plant?
Happy Sunday!
