A few week’s ago, we planted our garden! It looked so pretty and ready to go! We plan to pick up a few plants such as tomatoes and peppers, but we thought we had a good handle on things.
My hubby went to town tilling up the soil!
Then, this happened…rain, lots of rain!
It rained for 4 days nonstop, this was on day 1! It was a pond by day 4, and we are fairly certain we lost all of our seeds. I’m sure I’m going to have some various veggies growing around my yard this summer in random spots.
We learned a few things, one is that we need to make some holes on the sides of the wood so the water has a place to drain out. Next, my husband wants to get more plants instead of doing all seeds.
So, this weekend we are going to be out replanting and adding a few plants. I’ve never done plants with gardening, I’ve always started with the seeds. I have to say it will be kind of nice to already see something out there instead of an empty garden!
Do you use any plants? What types do you buy? Tomato plants? Pepper plants? I would love some suggestions!
Have a wonderful gardening day!
