Dinner for Two with Baked Potato Soup

Are you ready for that special day of love that is quickly coming up this week?  We are such home bodies that honestly, I’d prefer to stay in and enjoy a cozy date night at home by the fire.  Do you enjoy going out or staying in?  I actually think the last time we went out on Valentine’s Day was when I was pregnant with our first child.  It seems like when we are on the go so much during the week, staying home just sounds like bliss.  Luckily, we can easily do a dinner for two with Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups.

We were introduced to these last year and they became a staple in our home.  We have them stocked in our pantry year round, my son in particular loves this soup.  I can’t complain because it literally takes 10 minutes to make.  I keep them on hand not only for a quick dinner for two by the fire, but also for a quick dinner on a busy day.  They have a dual purpose for sure.

My husband and I though were anxious to get some time together and just enjoy a good movie and a tasty dinner.  Since we do always have these on hand, of course it’s a go-to for us.  I pair ours with Gluten Free Cheddar Bay Biscuits.  These are a must to go with a bowl of potato soup.  That’s another perk too, these soups are completely gluten-free!  They are naturally gluten-free, so the price point is extremely affordable regardless.

Idahoan Steakhouse Soups come in four delicious varieties.  These include Loaded Potato, Creamy Potato, Cheddar Broccoli, and Cheddar Potato.  My personal favorite is the Loaded Potato.  They give a flavorful, slow-cooker taste of restaurant-quality soup at home in just 5 minutes!  I told you it was quick.

Our first Valentine’s Day together, my husband and I spent that night in too.  He made a fancy dinner and it was really just so thoughtful.  We’ve stayed true to that too and enjoy date nights at home.

My husband can easily make these soups just as well as I can and we enjoy a delicious bowl of soup together and a good movie or sometimes just a game by the fire.  It’s relaxing and affordable because it can easily be done after the kids go to bed too.
