Get ready for a new week and a new weekly menu plan!
We are just days away from the official start to fall, hopefully the weather will soon follow.
I heard that we will yet again have a warmer winter, but I sure hope not. We actually only had a good snow the first year we lived in this house.
That was FIVE years ago. We have barely had a dusting. I want a stuck in the house downpour of snow.
Of course, you may disagree if you live in the north and that’s the norm. Typically when or if we ever get snow it’s melted by the afternoon.
First though, let’s get to fall and the best weather all year! I love fall, the colors, hoodies, food…all of it!
I also love the pumpkin, so I decided to add a pumpkin recipe to the menu this week too.
Our son is doing football this year, so that’s another fun thing to do in the fall. We just started our games this weekend, so I’m anxious to see how his team does this season.
In the meantime, practices and extra activities mean that this mama has to plan out dinner. It’s vital to us avoiding eating out all week, which I’ll admit is pretty tempting some nights.
On another note though, our son has recently decided he can now eat adult meals. He’s 9 now…he literally eats ALL of it and is still hungry. It’s amazing how much adding one more adult meal added to our food bill when we eat out.
So, sorry kids…but we are eating at home! It’s just crazy town.
