What is the first thing you do when you wake up? For me, I am already making my decision on which type of coffee I plan to drink. Sometimes, I think ahead too and have my coffee maker preset to start brewing as soon as my alarm clock goes off. I have a feeling as we head back to school I’ll be doing that even more.
This week I tried out a new blend from Millstone®, House Blend. I typically always lean to the house blend when purchasing coffee too as it’s a good roast that is somewhat in the middle of being dark and light. The Millstone House Blend is a medium roast that is full of globally sourced 100% Arabica beans. It’s a nice well-balanced blend that is both flavorful and smooth.
The House Blend is generally my go to on busy days and it pairs so well with a variety of foods. Right now, I am in a blueberry mood so I paired it alongside a delicious blueberry muffin to get my day started. I have found the House Blend goes with light, fresh foods. I tend to pair the House Blend with more fruit based foods such as blueberry or strawberry breads or muffins. It’s a nice combination with the mix of flavors.
I actually like dipping the muffin in the coffee too. Ever tried a coffee soaked muffin or even doughnut? They are delicious!
Millstone® just recently introduced both the House Blend along with the Mayan Black Onyx Blend. I’ll be sharing more about the new Mayan Black Onyx Blend soon along with a great pairing to go with it.
