What temperature do you cook butternut squash at on the Pellet Grill?
This squash will be cooked at 400°F on the pellet grill for about 30 minutes or until fork tender.
It’s easy to put this on right at the end of smoking meat, the squash can cook while the meat is resting before serving.
How do you cut a butternut squash?
The trickiest part of butternut squash is simply cutting it. Once you’ve cut your squash the rest is very simple.
I prefer this post to explain how to cut a butternut squash; however, what I typically do is peel the outside, cut the squash in half, and scoop out the seeds, then I begin to cut and slice the squash.
It can be in perfect cubes or in slices, it’s totally up to you.
Tips for Making Smoked Butternut Squash:
We like to smoke these in this grill pan. It’s easy to add the squash to this pan and then let it cook on the pellet grill.
It’s always a good idea to rotate them throughout cooking time.
We use olive oil for this recipe without issue; however, if you are concerned about smoke point, grapeseed oil is a great option.
I also like to have grapeseed oil spray on hand as well it’s easier to use than pouring the oil from the bottle.
