The perfect fresh treat this summer are these Grilled Cinnamon Butter Peaches.
There are some perks about living in the country, that means I’m within about 1/2 an hour of a peach orchard. They happen to have some of the best peaches in this part of the state.
They even have a peach festival, that’s how good they are! I love making Peach Cobblers, Tarts, and Crisps with fresh peaches during the summer months. One way though that I love to enjoy a quick, sweet dessert is with these Grilled Cinnamon Butter Peaches.
I glaze the peaches with melted cinnamon butter, then grill them up for just a few minutes on the grill. Once they are all done and juicy, I top them with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream and drizzle some honey and cinnamon on top.
It’s like eating a sweet candy but it’s a lot less calories than a rich dessert, plus it’s filling without feeling overly full. Do you ever have that feeling?
I feel like in the summer I can’t eat as much maybe because it’s just so hot? We’ve actually had a pretty mild summer, but this past week it’s started to heat up.
How do you Make Grilled Cinnamon Butter Peaches?
- Butter them up and add sprinkles of cinnamon.
- Grill the peaches.
- Add a scoop of ice cream and eat up!
Now, you can beat the heat with a scoop of vanilla ice cream served over these Grilled Cinnamon Butter Peaches. Trust me, you’ll want more than one. It just happens, right?
I made these right after I got home from the gym, so I probably completely ruined my workout, but it is fruit, right? It was totally worth it too.
I think these would be the perfect way to end a cookout with friends or even compliment a light salad for dinner. That tends to be my go-to during the summer. It’s even better when I can pick the lettuce right from our garden.
What are some of your favorite sweet treats for summer?
I’d love to hear them!
