This past week, I was ask to watch the QVC Show, In the Kitchen with David and provide my thoughts about the show. I thought I would share it with you, and I am certain many of you probably watch the show.
For me, this was my first time tuning in, I rarely have the chance to watch TV and honestly, I thought that when we went to basic cable we lost QVC. I found out that was not the case, which may be a bad thing because now I know we have that channel and I love QVC!
Before the show started, I visited David Venable on Facebook and took the Foodie Quiz. As I took this short quiz, I thought it would give some strange answer no where near close, but I was wrong! It said I was a comfort foodie, which is exactly the case. I could not believe how right the quiz was.
Next, I downloaded the In the Kitchen with David application on my iPhone. It’s a FREE download and it allows you to view his recipes, shop the show, and the best part…watch the show! I have to say technology is a wonderful thing and being able to watch the show straight from your smart phone is really unbelievable.
Now, after doing these steps I was ready to sit down and watch the show. When he came on and mentioned it was a 4 hour show, my first thought was, how do they keep the energy up for 4 hours? He did though, and from the first minute I was hooked!
David brings an exceptional energy to the show as well as his knowledge of cooking. Since he is a cook himself it helps because he can relate to each product and give relevant feedback.
I was sold immediately on the first product mentioned, the oven crispers. These are said to evenly distribute the heat in the oven because you insert them directly into the oven without having a pan underneath them. I am so anxious to receive these and try them out. I am planning to make Chickfila style chicken tenders and fries with them, stay tuned for that recipe coming soon!
We continued watching the show and my husband was sold on the VitaMix. We did not purchase it but he sure wanted too, of course he also wanted those mouth watering croissants. Now, those looked amazing.
We continued watching and learned that David is coming out with his own cookbook. I am looking forward to seeing the new cookbook and all the delicious recipes I am sure will fill it.
The only issue we had was when ordering for some reason online ordering was not working properly. I called in to QVC because of it and I was shocked with how quickly they answered the phones. There was literally no hold at all and my order was handled very quickly.
Overall, I am now planning to watch this show again especially since I now realize not only can I watch it on TV but also on my iPhone!
My favorite aspects of the show were the energy, the hands on showing of the products, and the interaction made with those online and over the phones. I always like to hear reviews from the every day people that use the products!
Now, I’m looking forward to getting those crispers!

I watch nearly every Sunday that I’m home and love David and the energy he brings to the show!
Cheesy Cheeseburger Casserole…Yesterday I made this recipe and I was never so-o-o disappointed in anything in my life as both my husband and I were with the results. As a matter of fact the entire dish went to the garbage except what we tried for supper last evening. It was also not a cheap dish to make!!!
