Today, I thought I would share with you something a little different about a book I have been reading lately. This book is all about balancing your life to live the most healthy lifestyle fitting for you, “Balance Your Life, Balance the Scale” by Jennifer Tuma-Young.
Why is this book perfect for me right now? Well, I’m nearly 8 months pregnant and loosing the baby weight is just looming over me constantly right now. I was in the process of trying to loose weight before I got pregnant. Then, when I found out I was pregnant the hope of loosing 20 lbs went out the window!
I am not a dieter, I like to eat, I like carbs and cookies! In saying that though, I do like to eat healthy. I want to live a lifestyle where working out and eating healthy are a way of life not a diet that will run it’s course and then I’ll gain all the weight back. I’ll just admit diets in the way that we think of them have never worked for me. The thing that has worked is working out and eating a balanced diet.
That is why I love Jennifer’s latest book! It is all about balance both your life and the scale. It focuses on taking care of yourself in order to get your diet and weight on track which in turn helps you be a better you in your daily routine of life.
For me if I do not feel good about myself that sets a tone for my entire family. I have to feel good about myself and take care of myself first no matter how selfish that may sound. If I don’t take care of myself then I can’t give 110% to my family.
Jennifer speaks on the B.A.L.A.N.C.E method about balancing your life, your weight, witnessing results, and finding joy in your life. Jennifer is one that has been there and done that, she has walked this road and shares her journey of loosing the weight and finding herself in the process!
I’m in the middle of reading this book right now, but thought I would share with you a few points from it plus encourage each of you to join in with finding balance in your life.
