After many request, I say that lightly…I was flooded with request for the homemade ice cream recipes. I learned something about my reader’s today, you all love ice cream as much as I do!
Luckily, my grandma was on it and she contacted my cousin and great aunt. They blessed us with these wonderful recipes!
Keep in mind, I have not actually made these before. I will be trying them now; however, up until this point I have only ate the final product. I can tell you that it’s likely the best ice cream I have ever eaten.

I will say after being sent these recipe, I was unaware of how simple this is to make. I am planning to try these out soon. Has anyone used the Kitchen Aid Ice Cream attachment? I’m debating which to buy either the attachment or the ice cream maker.

Homemade Butterfinger Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 4 Cups Sugar
- 2 Cups Water
- 4 Butterfinger Candy Bars or Favorite Candy Bar
- 2-3 Quarts Fat Free Half and Half
Instructions
- Bring sugar and water to a rolling boil; continue cooking for about 1 minute.
- Let mixture cool.
- Chop candy bars in a food processor or blender to your desired consistency.
- Pour butterfingers into sugar mixture and let soak until you are ready to make ice cream.
- Mix butterfinger mixture with 2 quarts of half and half and pour into 4 quart ice cream maker.
- Lastly, add additional half and half or 2 % milk as needed to reach the “fill” line on your ice cream maker.
- Continue making ice cream as instructed on the ice cream maker instructions.
