Make going back to school and lunchtime fun with these Sandwich Skewers! This post is written in partnership with Nature’s Harvest® Bread and Entenmann’s® Little Bites™ , all thoughts and opinions are my own.
The countdown is on and back to school we go. That means I’m back to making lunches each and every single day. Oh the joys of school age children, I secretly love it though! It’s made even easier with Nature’s Harvest® Bread and these fun Sandwich Skewers.
I mentioned before how much my kids love Entenmann’s® Little Bites™ Blueberry Muffins too, so I decided to pair those with our skewers. These muffins are perfect for on the go too, I’ve started keeping a few with me just to have for snacks for the kids especially my daughter in between pick up lines to get my son.
I try to make lunch time fun and exciting for my kids at least for the first part of school, let’s face it once it gets closer to summer I start failing at my lunch ideas. That’s okay though because I’m rejuvenated now after summer break and ready to send them off with some tasty lunch creations. My son loves to help make these sandwich skewers and get involved. Now, I made these pretty long, but you can also use shorter skewer sticks to make them small enough to fit easily in the lunchbox too. My daughter likes these with dipping sauce, yes she loves her sauces!
When you are ready to make these, simply place your meat, bread, and cheese cubes on a skewer stick in a pattern until the stick is full, then it’s time for eating or dipping. When you use Nature’s Harvest® Bread you can get 8g or more of Whole Grains in a single serving! So I like that not only are my kids getting a fun lunch but a nutritious one too.
Right now as I mentioned previously, you can show us the Life of the Lunchbox™ so that you can win a $10,000 savings bond sweepstakes! This sweepstakes would be a great start to a college fund, don’t you think? It makes all that time spent making the lunches each day worth it.
I’d love to see what is in your child’s lunch? Let us know what ideas you love!
Happy Back to School season!

Sandwich skewers are such a fun way to add variety to their lunch. Plus food on a stick is always a hit with the kids. You can’t resist a good lunch with Entemenns snacks either. It is the perfect combination.
That is honestly an awesome idea! My son LOVES skewers and I have never thought to make a deconstructed sandwich like this before. Your recipes inspire me so much!
My little guy is doesn’t seem to want anything other than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch. Sometimes, he only wants a slice of cheese (nothing more). Maybe these skewers would make lunch a little more entertaining and he’d eat the meat as well.
You’re doing better than me on the kids’ lunches. I’m going to use these ideas the upcoming weeks. I may even buy me a box of the Little Bites for my own stash. They are one of my favorite snacks when we are on the road.
Oh how cute and oh so delicious. My kids would love those. Something about packaging food a different way makes it so exciting doesn’t it? My kids also love those little bits snacks, we can’t get enough, they’re so yummy!
What a fun idea for a school lunch! Much better than the plain old sandwich I usually will end up packing and it ends up using the same ingredients. Can’t get any easier than that!
