Warm up this winter with a delicious bowl of Idahoan® Premium Steakhouse® Loaded Potato Soup in a Pretzel Bowl. I’m sharing this post in partnership with Idahoan® Foods and their Idahoan® Premium Steakhouse® Potato Soups, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
We have experienced quite a cold snap here in Oklahoma this past week and it’s just downright chilly! I’ll admit though, we spent the past week in Michigan and we certainly do not compare to the cold they experience there. I would just not make it; however, living in Florida sure does sound nice during the winter. In the midst of all the cold weather, a delicious soup is just what you need to warm up; my family relies on Idahoan® Premium Steakhouse® Potato Soups for a great comfort meal.
My son literally begs for Idahoan Steakhouse Soups almost every single night. Now, I would say considering he is a very picky eater, I was pretty impressed. I even found some of these in individual size that you could take to work for lunch. How brilliant is that? These soups come in a variety of flavors – including Creamy Potato, Loaded Potato, Three Cheese Chipotle and Broccoli Cheddar – and we have tried them all and love each of them. My favorite part is that I can literally make this in about 5 minutes and pair it with a tasty side and we have dinner ready to go! This past week, I made the soup as instructed on the package, but I decided to buy some pretzels buns to use as bowls. Now, all you need to do is cut the center out of the pretzel bun, leave the bottom portion and then pour the soup right into the pretzel bowl. My husband was in awe at how tasty this was, it was perfect to eat right by the fire on a cold, winters night.
Now, I’m already stocking up on more of these soups to have on hand throughout the winter especially on snowy days. It’s just one of those soups that makes you think of home, it’s the ultimate comfort food.
Did you know this month is National Soup Month? It is! The best way to celebrate is to warm up with a delicious bowl of soup. I may be a little biased but serving it in a pretzel bowl is certainly the way to do it.
Now, you can also use the pretzel bun for dipping too, it’s very versatile and tasty either way. Enjoy this delicious meal, plus Be sure to follow along with @IdahoanFoods with this hashtag #IdahoanSteakhouseSoups for more great ideas and ways to serve!

Pretzel buns are so satisfying and ridiculous. I love how creamy the soup looks. Something nice and warm on a cold winter night!
First of all, that pretzel bowl is absolute genius. It reminds me of the delicious pretzel burger breads I have in a lot of my favorite restaurants. Second of all, my family loves potato soup, so this is something I’m totally willing to try out!
THIS LOOKS SO GOOD! I’ve had a pretzel bun before and they were so delicious. It’s a really good idea to use it for this soup — and for any soup too!
I am now craving a baked potato!! I have been meaning to make baked potatoes since the weather cooled down…I was thinking of trying loaded sweet potatoes (but a vegan version for me!). There’s something just so comforting (and delicious) about baked potatoes!
Oh man, oh man, this looks so amazingly delicious! I have never thought about using something like instant potatoes to make soup! Such an awesome and easy idea! I am totally going to try this!
That looks and sound so delicious. I think I definitely will try making this at home. I would love to try it. Thanks for the recipe.
OMG! I love this recipe idea. I am obsessed with baked potato so anything that features that immediately catches my attention. I am going to pin this for later so I remember to make it for my family later.
Since a pretzel is one of my favorite snacks this is perfect for me. I also thoroughly enjoy something salty and crunchy in my soup, or to put my soup in, so I must try this out. It looks so tasty and would definitely warm me up on these cold days.
A soft pretzel is one of my favorite things so I know that this bowl will be very tasty and clever to use. I think my whole family will be excited to try this. We are big fans of Baked Potato Soup so it’s very clever that you combined the two .
Pretzel buns are so pretty looking to serve as a bowl – how ridiculously ingenious to use in a recipe. I love how creamy the soup looks, even though I’m not a huge fan of creamy style soups. This recipe is something nice and warm on a cold winter night!
Let me just say you had me at potato soup! A personal favorite and this dish looks divine. I always serve up with a crusty piece of bread but this bread bowl idea is a must try!
