Let me start by saying I am not a big fish eater, unless it’s coated with delicious flavoring that takes out the fishy taste! This past week I tried Sauté Express® Sauté Starter in the Herb & Garlic Flavor on Salmon making it taste delicious and not fishy!
We needed a quick and easy dinner, but I wanted it to taste fresh and be relatively healthy too. I have been trying to cut down on red meats, which is very hard when you love red meat! So, I decided to saute Salmon in the Herb & Garlic Sauté Express® along with adding rosemary and lemon to it making it not only delicious but healthy too. I was able to head to Walmart and pick up the Sauté Express® along with the rest of my ingredients for this quick and easy meal.
I was actually pretty excited to try fish again. I have not had fish since early in my pregnancy with my daughter. Why? Morning Sickness. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had horrible morning sickness. I actually made a fish recipe shortly after finding out that I was pregnant with her, the smell was too much for me, I hardly made it through making it. I ended up having my husband eat some then take it away. I actually gave away all of the frozen fish that was in my freezer too because just looking at it suddenly made me recall that horrid morning sickness, and I would be sick all over again! It’s a vicious cycle.
My daughter is almost a year now and finally I can look at fish again!
To start this meal, I simply warmed up a square of the Sauté Express® in a cast iron skillet. Once it was nice and warm, I placed my fish in the skillet to let it cook.
When cooking fish, it only takes a few minutes and it will flake easily with a fork once it is done. I cooked it for about 5 minutes on each side over medium heat. I also sprinkled it with rosemary and lemon juice as it was warming up. When, I flipped the fish over, I added a little more rosemary to it so that it was well coated.
I used about half a lemon to squeeze over it. I really can only eat fish with lemon. Something about the flavor of the lemon just gives the fish a savory flavor.
Along with the fish, I warmed up a cup of rice and I added 1/2 a square of Sauté Express® to it as well. It gave the plain rice a wonderful flavor that paired perfectly with the fish.
I served the fish over a bed of lettuce and paired it alongside roasted asparagus for nice, light meal. The rice and aspargus can be cooking while your fish is warming up, which allows you to be able to make this meal from start to finish in about 20-25 minutes.
The result? Delicious, flaky Salmon that is coated with herb and garlic flavor along with a hint of lemon and rosemary!

Oh my goodness, that looks delicious! My boyfriend would eat that before you had a chance to sit down at the table! He loves fish and asparagus!
I love salmon, but sometimes have a tough time getting it to be flavorful when I make it at home. This is an easy recipe that I can certainly follow! Thanks! #client
