It is grilling season and with that comes hot dogs. It’s the majority of kid favorites, so likely to show up at many cookouts this summer. I recently posted the recipe for Chili Dogs which has gone down as one of my favorites.
This past week, I was on the hunt for some good hot dog ideas, to take the typical hot dog up a notch. I landed on this batch of recipes from the Food Network. It was pretty fun to browse through these hot dog ideas, as many I had never even thought of before. A taco dog? Hawaiian dog? Oh the ideas continue.
What was I to do after looking through all these recipes? The only thing I could do. I topped my hot dog with good ole ketchup and sweet relish! The traditional dog, with the typical fixings of mustard, ketchup, and sweet relish. I just could not imagine eating some of these, although they all look good.
What’s your favorite way to eat a hot dog? Toppings? Plain? Unique?

I LOVE a Chicago Dog (without fresh tomatoes), OR an all out messy dog as i call it – bun, the dog, mustard, onion, pickle relish, chili and saurkraut! THE BEST!!!
Haha, I just had hotdogs for dinner tonight too… Ketchup and sweet relish, I know I would love a hotdog with just about anything on it. If I would have had it, I would have done jalapenos and nacho cheese. Yum!
