I have mentioned many times in the past, that I shop Aldi often! I love the baking supplies that can be found at Aldi because they are so much more affordable than the average grocery store. On my list of baking goods lots of candy and chocolate chips of course are on the list. Along with this, I love that I can pick up flour, sugar, oil, vanilla, and the pantry baking necessities at a fraction of the regular grocery store cost!
This past week I headed to Aldi in search of items to make White Chocolate Cranberry Biscotti for gifts this year. I love that I can pick up all my ingredients that I need to make these at Aldi, plus I can mix it up and make different flavors too. I can make large batches of this biscotti for very little cost which makes them a good addition to gift giving as either a gift or as a stocking stuffer. I plan to use it this year as stocking stuffers, plus I plan to make myself some while I’m at it!
Not only does Aldi have a Holiday Guide this year but they also offer a variety of tips for Holiday Entertaining:
- Keep it Simple
- Somewhat Homemade
- The Perfect Table
- Don’t Forget the Kids
- Small Bites
- The New Potluck Party
- Festive Flights
- Spreading Holiday Cheer
- Plan Ahead
- Unexpected Centerpieces
I cling to the keeping it simple and somewhat homemade tips on this list. Sometimes I like to go a bit overboard and do everything homemade which tends to completely stress me out! So, I have to remind myself, simple is good and to do bits of homemade mixed in with a little help from the store! I also love the idea of the unexpected centerpieces. This one is a fun one because you can easily use some of the holiday candy found at Aldi to make a wonderful centerpiece. This could be as simple as pouring candy in a candy dish with a holiday place-mat to make your table festive!
What are your favorite aspects of Aldi? Do you shop Aldi regularly?
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for ALDI. I received a gift certificate to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.

Yes, I am an avid Aldi shopper. I had never heard of it until we moved here to Indiana. Extended family had warned us “not to shop there, it’s low quality”. So after living here a few years, I decided to go in and take a look around for myself. We are on one income as I stay home with our baby boy and try to maximize our dollars however possible. I was in love with Aldi from the first time! There are tons of their brand items that we like MORE than any name brand and make sure to buy their’s. I save tons of money there, can easily stock up on essentials and pantry items, and since it is a smaller layout store I can be in and out in no time with our little guy. I also like that I bag our groceries, no worries about things being smashed or broken and I can keep all of the cold items together. I just love Aldi, it’s our regular stop and I would definitely miss it. Did you know that it is connected to Trader Joe’s? Love TJ’s as well!
