Just 10 days, folks. 10 days! In 10 days my little man starts his first official day of Kindergarten and embarks on his new life as an elementary school student. It’s a big deal around our house. BIG DEAL. I’m just as anxious and excited as he is. So far, we have school supplies, uniforms purchased, new backpack, shoes, and all the items that go with back to school. Next on the list? After school snacks!
The time between school ending and dinner time seems to be the busiest time of my day. It means trying to find something quick for my kids to snack on so that I can get dinner on the table just in time for evening activities and what will soon be homework time too.
My husband actually enjoys the Delimex Taquitos as an after work snack many times even more than the kids. He prefers them plain with a little bit of salsa for dipping.
I decided to whip up a little something extra with our Pizza Bagel Bites. I simply added a few chunks of pineapple along with a slice of Canadian bacon to make these Hawaiian Pizza Bagel Bite Sliders.
They turned out delicious and absolutely perfect to eat after school or even pack in lunch for the day along with some of your kids favorite fruits and veggies.
When you are making these, I did find that cooking them based on the box time of 12 minutes was a bit much for my oven, they did get a little bit toasty. We loved them toasty, but I would be sure to check on them after about 9-10 minutes to be sure they do not overcook.
By adding a few extra ingredients, it gives the frozen food option a bit more of a homemade feel. I know many times I am just way too busy to whip up something from scratch so I love that this recipe allows me to use a base and add to it. It’s even better when Bagel Bites are made with real cheese and homemade sauce, plus 0 Grams of Trans Fat!

Hawaiian Pizza Bagel Bite Sliders
- 1 Box of Cheese Bagel Bites 18 Count
- 9 Slices of Canadian Bacon
- 9 Pineapple Chunks, Small Chunks (Possibly Halved)
- Preheat oven to 425*.
- Place the bagel bites on a greased baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
- Top 9 of the bagel bites with 1 slice of Canadian bacon and a few chunks of pineapple.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cheese has melted.
- Once they have cooled take 1 bagel bite without additional toppings and place it on top of the bagel bite with the additional toppings to form the slider.
Note: I bought a small can of pineapple chunks and then halved the chunks for the sliders.
