As we fire up those grills these Grilled Small Potatoes & Green Beans are a simple must have! I’m sharing all about these delicious beauties today.
Do you ever go into a grocery store with fresh produce and you simply can’t help yourself but buy a few items not on your list? That’s exactly what I did when I walked into a local fresh market in town. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with delicious green beans and potatoes. These potatoes were small potatoes and immediately I thought of how tasty those would be on the grill.
The potatoes and beans just happen to find their way to my cart as my daughter yells out throughout the store that she doesn’t like green beans. I’m fairly certain by the time we left every individual in the store got her point, but I will admit I was only thinking about myself. I wanted green beans and by golly I would have them! Now, she did try a few and immediately share her disgust but alas I enjoyed each and every bite.
The potatoes were a favorite though, I love that they are basically ‘bite size’ and perfect for kids. There are so many great options for small potatoes. I decided to use them whole with the snapped green beans, then I placed them all on foil with olive oil, garlic salt, and rosemary. Once they were nice and coated, I wrapped them up and put them on the grill until they were nice and toasty.
I love grilling veggies because it gives such a great crunch to the veggies plus a wonderful flavor too. These weren’t too soggy or soft, they were nice and crunchy but cooked! We even dipped them in some ranch dip, here in Oklahoma that’s a given!
Now, are you ready for a bite? Maybe you even have these in your garden. It’s time to grill them!

My hubs was a potato man so I loved cooking it. I was never a fan but after I had to cook it so much I actually started liking it more and now can’t get enough. Can’t wait to try this out!
I have never grilled potatoes, but man do these look great. I wonder if a veggie grilling cage would work as well as tin foil?
This is the kind of side dish that I would love for summer bbq’s. I love small potatoes so this is perfect. Thanks for sharing!
I bet these would be so tasty! We love doing variations of potatoes on the grill, but I have never found ones small enough to do whole! I have combines green beans and potatoes before though! So yummy!
Great minds think alike…that is one of my favourite combos, lol! I love green beans, especially sauteed in a frying pan with lots of garlic…same goes for potatoes!
This look great!! A quick and easy dish perfect for summer nights. My kids love small potatoes and getting those veggies in there would be a total bonus. Thanks for sharing!
It’s so refreshing to find another woman who hates cooking…

I’m going to pair this with the slow cooker rib recipe I just found. Tonight’s dinner is going to be a tasty one! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Oh yum! That sounds perfect!
Ah, a classic! Coming from Asia, I never had to deal with side dishes: just rice with viand. Now living in Europe though, side dishes or separate vegetable sides are a must. This is something that I usually cook myself. Great recipe!
This recipe looks so fresh and healthy! I love potatoes with anything cause i’m a total meat and potatoes girl. I could see this being really great tossed in a light lemon and salt dressing as well.
This dish was on our table often when I was growing up so I know how good it is! Yum! Thanks for stopping by and sharing with us at Merry Monday. I hope you have a great 4th of July weekend!
I love green beans and potatoes together — it’s a Southern classic — but haven’t had them grilled together before. Will have to try this out! (And yes, gorgeous fresh produce beckons to me at the store often! Hard to resist!)
