Ever been to Red Robin?
Not only do I love Red Robin for the burger, but I love them even more that they have Gluten Free Buns! This means I can get a delicious burger with a bun just like the rest of the world!
That’s not my point though.
My point?
The egg burger!
My husband loves Red Robin because he gets the burger that has the big ole egg plopped on top of it! He has been begging me for a while to make burgers with eggs on them. I have no idea why we haven’t done this in the past seeing as it’s as simple as cracking an egg in a skillet, cooking it, then topping it on the burger.
Simple.
So, we tried it recently! I decided to do mine with just the egg white since I have to watch my cholesterol. Then, instead of beef we used turkey burgers!
The result?
Simply delicious!
I used my Great Day Farms Organic Eggs for these burgers. I used a little round cookie cutter or you can use a pancake ring to cook the egg, then once it was done, I removed the ring and had a perfectly round egg! These can be cooked in a skillet or on a griddle on medium heat.
Once the egg was done and our turkey burgers were cooked, we topped the burger with our favorite toppings, drizzled them with BBQ Sauce and built the burger!
I am going to skip the recipe card for this recipe since it’s basically adding an egg to your favorite style of burger!
Be sure and keep an eye out at your local grocery store for the Great Day Farms Organic Eggs! Why? I’m going to be on the carton! You’ll find a recipe there too that you will for sure want to try!
Enjoy this Egg Topped Turkey Burger!
