Grab the kids and have so much fun in the kitchen making these Grinch Pretzel Bites. These adorable Christmas pretzels make a fun snack to add to a Grinch Snack Mix or into a gift with fun Grinch treats.
They can be added to a mason jar right along with cookies too, there are so many options for this easy treat.
Or maybe you have a holiday tradition to watch The Grinch each year? If so, what better way to be festive than to add some Grinch Pretzel Bites to your fun Christmas treats?
What do you need for Grinch Pretzel Bites?
- Square Pretzels
- Bright Green Candy Melts
- Red Candy Heart or Red Heart Sprinkles
Candy Melts can be found typically at your local grocery store in the baking aisle or at Walmart or Hobby Lobby. Remember to get a true green for this recipe, there are some softer greens as well but the true green will work the best.
This is all you need to make these cute treats. If you are looking to make these gluten-free, I have not found a good square pretzel that is gluten-free, but you could try it with regular gluten-free pretzels. The issue with that is simply that the melted green candy may ooze out from the pretzel due to the shape.
How do you make Grinch Bites?
Warm the oven up to 200 degrees F, these will be baked at a low temperature.
Using a prepared baking sheet that is covered with parchment paper, place the square pretzels onto the baking sheet and then add a candy melt to each pretzel.
Place the pretzel bites in the oven for about 4-5 minutes or until the chocolate candy melt is shiny.
Carefully remove and add a heart to the center of each pretzel. Then, it’s time to let the candy sit and harden for about 15 minutes before serving.
How do you store this easy treat?
Store these fun Christmas treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Mommy Hates Cooking says
They are Wilton Candy Melts, I found them over with the party stuff at Walmart, but you may be able to find them with the Christmas baking items now.
