A few week’s back I mentioned that this month I partnered with Champions for Kids and Abbott Nutrition to promote Pack a Snack and child nutrition.
After following the 3 basic steps:
1. Learn
2. Gather
3. Give
I followed up with the organization I had anticipated giving the products to and learned more about the use they would have for them. They are in need of these products as many of the donations they receive are primarily for newborn babies, and they are in great need for products that meet the nutritional needs of their older children.
I was anxious to head to Walmart to pick up a few packages of Pediasure and Pediasure Sidekicks to donate to them. My son came along too, although he is only 2 1/2, I want to be sure he learns to give back as well, plus he was pretty thrilled to get a cookie, just pretend they are ‘healthy’.
After purchasing my products, I donated them to Mend Resource Pregnancy Center with confidence that they will be given to a family in need of the products.
All children should have access to healthy and nutritious foods; however, sadly even in a country that is truly as blessed as the United States, many do not. That is why it is our job to join together and donate to our local community organizations that provide food for children in need. If each of us does even a small part, together we can reach many.
I hope you join me and take part in giving back and promoting healthy nutrition for children. To learn more head over to the Abbott Nutrition Pack a Snack website. Also, you can find them on Twitter at #AbbottCFK and join the twitter party on January 19th at 9:00pm EST. To see my full path-to-purchase head over to Google +.
This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias #Cbias. I felt that this was a very important service project to be apart of and share with my reader’s, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is awesome Kristy! Sounds like you are supporting a great mission and have found an organization that is in need of the help you are offering! Good for you! And btw…that cookie is just fine for your little man! All kids need treats. It’s just so important to remember that they need healthy eating habits in order to be able to enjoy the occasional sweet treat! You have that balance, so “let him eat cookie”. And keep up all of the good work you do in your community!
This sounds like such a wonderful organization!
Sounds like a wonderful organization to donate to! Even though your son is small I think it’s great that you brought him along with. I think they positive experiences they have even when they are little affect them for the rest of their lives!
That is awesome that you are teaching your child the importance of giving to others at such an early age. What a great lesson. Also, I am sure the kids that reach your snacks will be extremely grateful.
What a great cause! thanks so much for sharing.
May your kind heart inspire MILLIONS to give of themselves.
