Guess what? It’s Game Time! It’s the time of year when football games take over the weekends and basically every waking hour in between. That means food is a must have at the football parties. This week I decided to get creative with a very EASY recipe and a little help using the General Tso Wings from Walmart.
Sometimes when it comes to football parties, I just do not have much extra time to make something from scratch, that’s why I love that for game time I can swing by and grab wings right at the deli at Walmart. They are fresh and hot, ready to serve.
Now, many times though I like to take these up a bit and mix a little homemade into premade. Make sense?
This particular time I knew I wanted to get the General Tso Boneless Wings, then I thought I would toss them on a tortilla with a little bit of rice and veggies, drizzled with Ranch and viola!
My husband loved that he could eat these as a tostada or roll them up too.
Along with the General Tso Tostadas, I also picked up Bone-In Hot Wings. These were HOT! My mom took a bite and was immediately gasping for WATER. I wanted to keep these as is, so I paired them with a few dipping sauces and we were all set.
The wings at Walmart are easy to purchase, you can pick them up in Pick 3 Bucket, by the pound, or as a dinner. I know my husband likes me to just bring a pound home occasionally for a ‘snack’ as he likes to call it for him. I think he likes the fact it’s something not gluten free as most of our meals are. It’s his special treat.
Are you ready for game time? What are some must haves that you take to the game?
Be sure to stop by Walmart to pick up the wings!
