Make dinner burst with flavor with the NEW Flavor Fusions Orange Sesame Baked Cod paired with Balsamic Edamame. This is a sponsored post; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Do you ever just get tired of cooking dinner? The main focus on this blog when I started was simply to help me get out of that cooking rut of eating the same thing over and over again, since that time I feel like there are so many great alternatives now to help keep you out of that rut but also not in a time crunch either. There are so many better-for-you products that are also very convenient too. One of those is the NEW Gorton’s Flavor Fusions paired with Balsamic Edamame make the perfect dinner.
These delicious Flavor Fusions come in two different varieties including Classic Fajita & Kickin’ Hot Garlic Lime or the Asian Soy Ginger & Orange Sesame. I decided to showcase the Asian Soy Ginger & Orange Sesame today as it’s such a great pairing with Balsamic Edamame.
These Flavor Fusions are made with a classic, lightly breaded cod fillet then paired with zesty seasonings. The best part is it’s all ready to go for you when you open the box so that means very little prep for you. It takes just about 25 minutes from start to finish to prepare and then while the fish is baking in the oven, I whipped up a batch of Balsamic Edamame along with rice to pair with it. The edamame is sauteed in balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and garlic. It gives it a great burst of light flavor and compliments the Asian seasonings on the cod. I decided to use both seasonings on the cod which gave it a real burst of flavor. I love that with a simple addition of seasoning it can really give a whole new appeal to cod and taste too.
It never fails that dinner time can always be a rush, does that happen to you? I’m noticing more and more that it really doesn’t matter what time of the year it is, I always feel like during the week I’m being rushed to get dinner on the table. Then, on the weekends I feel like I have more time to spend in the kitchen or out by the grill cooking, the weeks though, my kids are always hungry right at 5pm, which means I have to be in the kitchen around 4pm to start cooking. That’s hard to do when you are gone all day or working, isn’t it? I love that there are meals like this that I can easily make in half an hour and everyone is happy, plus I’m not completely wiped out!
What I love about Gorton’s is that they use fresh-caught fish and it’s really the best that you will find. They truly use the best fisherman to catch the fish that is later passed onto the consumer, you can rest assured that your family is getting a good dinner.
