We are entering a new phase of night terrors with our daughter, which have been quite a challenge for everyone in our household. This week I decided to try out the New Lully Sleep Guardian 2 to help manage these night terrors. This post was sponsored by Lully as part of Influencer Activation for Influence Central.
My daughter is just a few months away from turning 4! Many of you were around when I announced I was expecting her several years ago, can you believe she’s nearly 4? I haven’t even wrapped my mind around that yet. She will be starting pre-K next year! After that I feel like the years just start flying by. In the midst of her being a toddler, she’s started to have night terrors.
At first, I thought she was just waking up and needing to be put back to bed, but then I walked in her room a few weeks ago and she was walking around her room, then she stopped in the corner and started screaming hysterically. It took everything just to calm her down, but it was then that I realized we were dealing with night terrors not defiance or not wanting to sleep. Night terrors are so hard to witness, it’s literally heart breaking to see your child appear to be in a panic situation and then there is not much you can do, that’s when I decided to try out the Lully Sleep Guardian 2.
The Sleep Guardian 2 is a vibrating pod that goes under the mattress, right before a night terror happens it starts to vibrate. This allows your child to be woken from that sleep pattern they are in and completely prevent the terrors. I will admit I was very skeptical of this, VERY! Typically her night terrors happen within an hour or two of falling asleep. It seems to be almost always right when I start to fall asleep and then she’s screaming. The first night, she didn’t wake up. She has actually not had a night terror at that time since!
I’m still trying to work with programming it to catch the one she is having in the middle of the night, but so far that first one is totally gone using the guardian. It allows you to adjust the vibrating motion too, I actually thought someone had their stereo up really loud in our neighborhood the first night I used it. I laid in our bed and thought that’s strange because we live in the country, you can’t hear anything out here…then the next night I realized that sound was actually the vibrating motion and it was loud enough that I was hearing it in our room. Crazy, right? I simply turned it down a bit and then we couldn’t hear it at all and she was doing just fine with it.
I highly recommending checking out the Lully Sleep Guardian 2 for your child, if you have already, what did you think?
Be sure to share it with us, I’m anxious to continue fine tuning it to her sleep pattern.
