For the past few months, I have been sharing with you about how we are taking the IAMS™ Visible Differences challenge. Throughout this challenge, we have learned just how important the food our dogs eat is. Sometimes it’s easy to overlook animals when you are thinking about foods to feed the family, but they are just as important. I mean most of us consider our pet part of the family, right?
I know that we do, which means we want her to be taken care of to the best of our abilities! We’ve found just by making this switch that our 9 year old dog is more energetic, playful, and ready to take on the world or her dog world.
Lately, she’s developed a strong curiosity in our chickens that we have, thankfully though she hasn’t made them dinner…yet!
Personally, I think the biggest difference that I see in our dog, May, is in her coat. She has always had a hard time with her coat due to the skin disorder she had a puppy. Right now though after taking this challenge, she has a full coat that’s shiny and not dull as it was in the past. She also has more healthy skin and it is not dry or damaged as it seemed to be in the past.
At the end our challenge, I think it’s pretty clear we will be sticking to Iams®, considering all the benefits that we have seen in our ‘little’ dog, May! She used to lay around all day but is finally getting more active. We hope that by making this switch and also going on more walks, she will be much healthier as she goes into her senior years in dog life and we can enjoy every second we have with her!
