I have been talking about gardening all summer and how much we enjoy it; however, did you know it does not have to stop at the end of the summer season? Fall brings on many more gardening projects!
This fall my husband and I have been inspired by Gardenieres and taken on the challenge of continuing our gardening. I love that with Gardenieres they have several informational videos on how to keep your garden vibrant and growing based on the area you live in.
I found a great video for Midwest on soil. The soil in the garden is one of the main factors in having a great crop! It’s where all the magic happens and the roots of the produce take shape and form.
I love that this video works perfectly with the area we live in because like Gina mentions in the video, we have that clay like soil too! So, finding something to help soften it and make it really take water well is difficult!
I am looking forward to trying out the Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro. This was the first time my husband and I had heard of this product; however, it seems that it would work perfectly for the soil in our garden.
This product holds up to 50% more water than the typical soil! That means a little less watering which would be great especially in the heat of our summers!
What I love about this product is that it continually works year round, so as we are ready to start our garden again our soil will be nice and moist and not cracked and solid like clay. I know my husband has already mapped out half of our backyard to convert into a very large garden for next year and a major step in our gardening is going to be getting that rock hard soil ready!
