We planted our first Herb Garden this year. I love adding herbs to most meals, and I cannot wait to have fresh herbs. I am just waiting to walk outside and smell the fragrant rosemary and dill, that’s my favorite! We planted Rosemary, Dill, Sage, Parsley, Oregano, and Basil. Those are the herbs I use the most.
My husband got the planters all ready to plant our seeds. We went to get the shovel to nicely get the potting soil out, and unknown to us we apparently lost it. So, it looks like that will be the next necessary garden purchase. These hands weren’t made for dirt digging, must have gloves and shovel!
Oh wait, forget the shovel, apparently these hands were made for dirt digging. Oh and the mouth was made for dirt eating, then the legs are meant to be buried under the dirt. I think I got it now.
They are all ready to go on our back deck. I decided my kitchen window is not big enough for an inside herb garden. Hubby promises me our 100 lb dog will not knock these over, they are nailed in. I will now pray.
Lastly, my husband gave me careful orders that I am supposed to water my herbs every day. This is the part I slack in. I’m not sure why I only have 5,000,000 other things I have to remember to do in one day, but somehow I always forget this one thing. I’ll just move it to to the top of my list!
What are you planting this year?

Audrey has planted tomato plants this year from seed. We lost a few to natural disasters and a couple to little sister. Glad we planted way too many!
