We are closing in on the big 4th of July weekend that typically means cookouts are in full force. These Stuffed Cheeseburgers need to be on your menu!
It’s 4th of July weekend and we know that hamburgers are going to be the star of the cookout, right? Of course, maybe you serve something else but for much of the country it’s all about the burgers and dogs. I have a new favorite way to eat a burger lately, Stuffed Cheeseburgers. These are basic hamburgers stuffed with shredded cheese.
As soon as you take that first bite you will get a burst of cheesy goodness. Of course, you could always top it with cheese too but I opted out of that. We also like to add peppers to the middle too sometimes, that’s a good surprise for guests. I decided to make these with 2 pounds of ground beef. I’ve also found that with burgers, getting a more fatty ground beef works better.
I have a tendency to always pick the leanest beef, but the grease really helps these to stay closed together. I also added an egg to the mix too and mixed the meat up. Once I had the meat mixed up, I placed a small portion of ground beef out then made a little hole in the middle, think of it like a little pool to add your cheese in. Then, top it with an equal amount of ground beef and seal it up.
I continued this for all of the ground beef, I made 6 burgers using 2 lbs of ground beef. Once I had those done it was time to grill them up.
These may have been the best burgers I have grilled lately, they were SO good and the cheese…oh the cheese just made me happy.
Are you ready to celebrate this weekend? Kick those burgers up a notice with these Stuffed Cheeseburgers!
Happy 4th of July!

If I still lived in the States and wasn’t a vegetarian, those would totally be on my menu 🙂 Even after being a vegetarian for most of my life, I still fantasize about a good burger, and these definitely fit the bill! Have a great weekend : -)
I love making stuffed hamburgers! It’s so convenient to have everything packed in there as opposed to it falling all over of the burger!
These stuffed burgers look great! I can’t believe I have never made a burger with cheese inside of them. I usually just put a slice of cheese on top of someone wants a cheeseburger.
I am officially a grill master. I have never made stuffed burgers but these look so yummy that now I want to. Will be lighting the grill on Monday so I might as well pick up all the ingredients and recreate your recipe.
These look like the best things in the world. My face is melting off. Summer is not the season for lite or quick cooking around here. The number one condiment on these will be pool water.
Oh wow! What a burger! It looks like a summer dream come true!
I don’t eat burgers myself but my entire family does like them always. I recently saw something like this on Masterchef with blue cheese stuffed in the middle and I thought OH MAN that is great idea. This sounds like it would taste amazing!
