Just in time for football season, these Slow Cooker Strawberry Jalapeño BBQ Wings are the perfect game-day food to share with friends! This is a sponsored post written on behalf of the The J.M. Smucker Company, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
It’s that time of year, time for football games, tailgating, and cool weather. This is my absolute FAVORITE time of year. I honestly wish I could live in a place where it feels like fall year round, I would be just fine with that. As we head into this season, that means many of us are gathering around the TV to watch the latest football game. Are you? What’s your favorite team?
My husband and I have found a new love when it comes to game day food and that is these Slow Cooker Strawberry Jalapeño BBQ Wings using the latest flavor of Smucker’s Fruit & Honey. They have just recently introduced the Strawberry Jalapeño and it’s simply delicious. Not only is it great with a simple piece of toast paired with cream cheese, but it’s also delicious with these BBQ Wings.
I simply placed several chicken wings in the slow cooker along with a full jar of Strawberry Jalapeño Fruit & Honey, then a jar of BBQ Sauce. I reserved a bit of the sauce to use once they were done, but it only takes 8 hours of slow cooking and you are on your way to a tasty game day recipe. Once they were done cooking, I carefully removed them and brushed a little bit more sauce on each one. Now, they are very sticky, but let’s be honest…wings are just better that way.
Smucker’s Fruit & Honey spreads are naturally sweetened with honey. The Strawberry Jalapeño mixes the best combination of sweet and spicy. The flavors equalize each other making them the perfect pair.
Now, are you ready for these wings? It’s time! Plus, tell us what some of your favorite game day foods are?
Enjoy!

Oh my gosh, this Strawberry Jalapeno spread has become one of my favorite new products. I use it on chicken as well. We also enjoy it with cream cheese on crackers. It’s so, so good!
These look so good! I never would have thought that these flavors would go good together, but they really do look amazing! I love trying new recipes too, so this is a must try for next week.
