I thought today would be a great time to write about a pregnancy update and some of the shopping and products that I’m looking forward to trying out! I’m heading into my 24th week of pregnancy, and my baby girl is in full swing inside me! She is kicking me constantly, my son was always on the move when he was in the womb so I’m not really surprised this time around.
The nausea has let up some, but I am still having to take medicine to keep food down. My doctor says I’m one of the lucky ones that gets to deal with morning sickness the entire pregnancy…yippee! The heartburn and back aches are officially keeping me up at night and killing me throughout the day; however, even with all the not so fun things about pregnancy I am feeling very blessed! I can’t wait to meet my little girl.
We made some big purchases this week for our new baby on the way and made some stroller decisions! This week I was able to shop at PishPosh Baby online for a stroller. I have to say that I immediately was overwhelmed by all the stroller decisions and options available!
My husband and I decided we may purchase a sit and stand stroller; however, we knew for sure we wanted to put the bulk of our money into a nice umbrella stroller. When we had our son we bought the travel system that we just knew we needed and we did use it; however, after 6 months when my son was old enough to sit up in an umbrella stroller we started using that regularly and never used the travel system stroller again.
One of the reasons we loved the umbrella stroller was the compact size and it easily fit inside a car trunk not to mention how light it was compared to the travel system stroller.
So, as we prepare for our little girl we realize that we wanted to go with a nice umbrella stroller because that is what we got the most use out of with our son as we still use it for him. He will be growing out of the stroller phase around the time our little girl will be using the umbrella stroller so it made more sense to purchase a nice one that we can use now for him and then use again when the baby is old enough.
Now, I have to tell you all about the stroller we purchased because I am in love. It is an UppaBaby G Lite Stroller in Magenta. It is a little more on the pink side than I was expecting but we were purchasing with our little girl in mind so that’s okay with me!
The stroller we have been using with our son we bought used on Craigslist and although it was good at the time we bought it, now over 3 years later it definetly needed an upgrade!
The UppaBaby stroller is full of bells and whistles including cup holders, adjustable straps, harness, and it even stands on it’s own. Yes, I’m not kidding!
I love that it has a cup holder because the one we have did not even better I was able to purchase another cup holder for only 99 Cents at PishPosh Baby after the purchase of a stroller! What does this mean? One for my husband and one for me…perfect!
It also has a sun shade that provides UV protection for your little one! I thought this was awesome because our current stroller sunshade is maybe 1/4 of this size and is almost pointless to even have because it does not block the sun at all.
This little trick fascinated my husband the most. The stroller has a bar at the bottom similar to a kick stand on a bike that allows the stroller to stand up on it’s own without leaning against a wall. This makes storage simple and takes up minimal space.
Although this stroller is purchased with our baby girl in mind as our little boy is growing like a weed, he could not wait to try it out! He begged us to go on a walk and ride in the stroller when typically he would rather walk himself and not ride. This stroller was so easy to glide and push, I also felt like it was a lot taller than the typical umbrella stroller. I’m not sure if it really was but I did not feel like I was bending down to push it.
As I was browing PishPosh Baby, I decided to check out their slings and carriers and found out that they carry the Ergo Baby Carriers. I did not do so well the first time on finding a good carrier and for this baby I have had one recommendation after another for the Ergo Baby Carrier. Once I saw it in this gorgeous floral print I knew I wanted to try it!
I love pink and brown so this was the perfect choice in pattern for me. I tried it on when it arrived and it is so comfortable not at all like the carrier I had for our son!
Isn’t it pretty? I cannot wait to use this with my baby girl! I am so excited that I’m finally in the mood to shop and this time around I’m trying not to overbuy like we did with our son and look more into quality. I felt like with the first baby we bought so much baby gear we really did not need so this time around we are looking more closely at what we will really use and putting our money toward the items we really feel strongly about.
This was my first time shopping PishPosh Baby and one of the biggest things that I felt set them apart from other stores is their customer service! While you shop you can be chatting with a mom online from PishPosh Baby on the particular items you are looking for. On top of that, you can also call them during their business hours. I had to call in regards to shipping and when I did I was immediately assisted. Then, they even took my number and called me back promptly too after finding out some additional information that I requested. I have never experienced that kind of customer service from a big box store! If you would like to see all the browsing I did head on over to my Google + Album.
Be sure to check out PishPosh Baby on their Website, Facebook, and Twitter.
I feel like both of these purchases are going to help better equip us when the baby is here, now if only the next 16 weeks would just fly by!

So happy for you and how exciting
Thank you!
An umbrella stroller is one thing that we haven’t purchased for Michael. Now you have me thinking!
We have used ours more than any other stroller! It’s so easy to travel with too.
