Butter a 9x13 baking dish or use cooking spray and set aside.
Add the melted butter to the dish.
In a large mixing bowl, add the strawberries and granulated sugar, mix well to coat.
Pour the strawberries in the baking dish over the butter, do not mix. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder until combined.
Add the brown sugar and continue to mix well.
Add the milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until combined.
Pour the mixture evenly over the strawberries but do not mix.
Bake in a preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until golden brown on top and edges are set.
Cool for 10 minutes and serve.
Notes
This can be made NOT gluten-free by using regular all-purpose flour.Use fresh strawberries, if you use frozen they will have too much liquid and cause the batter to turn red.
