Instructions
Begin by creaming together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a stand mixer or large mixing bowl.
Add in the eggs, milk, and vanilla.
Carefully whisk in the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Whisk this up well until the dough forms.
Chill the dough in the fridge for 1+ hours.
Preheat the oven to 350*F while cutting out the cookies.
Once ready to use, lightly flour a surface and roll the dough out, use the cookie cutters of choice to cut out the cookies.
Continue rolling out the dough and flouring the surface until all the cookies are created.
Place the cookies on a prepared cookie sheet, either with parchment or a silicone baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, carefully remove, and let cool for 5 minutes before placing them on a wire rack to complete cooling.
Once fully cooled, decorate with your desired frosting and toppings.
Notes
These cookies can be made gluten-free or regular with a simple swap of flour.
