Add all roast ingredients into the crockpot or slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
Once done, shred the meat, then top the sliced baguette with roast and cheese.
Coat the top of the baguette with a light glaze of garlic butter. This is simply melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley.
Be sure to reserve the sauce for the au jus for dipping.
Bake the baguette if preferred in the oven at 350°F for 5-10 minutes until the cheese melts, this will toast the baguette and melt the cheese. (Optional)
Serve with the au jus sauce.
