Fall is in the air and this Weekly Menu Plan will get your week started right!
My favorite month is quickly speeding by, have you got all the things in this October that you wanted to do?
We are trying, but I’m sure there will be a few things we don’t get to do that I had planned to do, that’s life though…right?
We have several activities this next week, which means lots of slow cooker and instant pot meals happening around our home.
We have 3 Trunk or Treats and Trick or Treating events to go to this year. All that candy…all the candy!
Do you limit your kids? I’m sure you probably do, but I feel like they get all this candy and then we don’t even let them eat it all. It’s typically sometime in the spring, I end up throwing away all the leftover Halloween candy.
It literally last us that long…then it gets tossed. It’s an overload.

Thankfully by the time we actually get to the day of Halloween, my kids prefer to help their grandma pass out candy rather than actually go trick or treating.
That’s just better off for all of us because they honestly do not need anymore.
I remember as a kid though, it was the best day ever. All the kids in the neighborhood would compare candy and make trades, did you do that? I remembering sorting it out on the living room floor with my sister so we could trade.
I have wonderful memories of Halloween when I was a kid because the neighborhood we lived in did a hayride and hot chocolate. We had a relatively small neighborhood, but you could hop on the hayride and ride it back to the other side of the neighborhood.

With some strategic planning, it was easy to get to almost every house in the neighborhood and back then EVERYONE participated. At least almost everyone, there weren’t a lot of church events back when we were kids.
So the whole neighborhood got involved and it was so much fun! Great memories, I hope my kids grow up with some of those great memories too.
Now, let’s get though to the menu for this week.
