Get ready for the week with a Weekly Menu Plan!
This is it…the final week of school for our kids. I know for many in the country there is still a good month or so left; however, we start in early August, so May is the end of our school year.
I have absolutely nothing planned for the summer, no vacations, no camps, no nothing… other than the pool.
I hope they like swimming? Ha! I am such a planner that having no plans is quite unusual for me, but I honestly am looking forward to it. I’m excited to just be able to wake up and decide what we want to do.
I am sure we will do some little trips here and there as we go through the summer but I’m mostly looking forward to life without a schedule for a bit.
Now when July gets here, I’ll probably be counting down the days until school starts and we have a routine again but I am definitely ready for a break. I am trying to remind myself to keep the kids doing some school work over the summer too.
I always start with good intentions and then a few weeks in, the work goes out the window and it’s all about just playing and doing things together. I think that’s totally fine too…balance, right?
Now as we head into summer, I’m trying to really buckle down on my menu plan. I’ve also been shopping at Aldi quite a bit lately too, especially for snack food items. They have so many great gluten-free items too.
Anyone else tried those? I haven’t shopped there in more than a year, but I’ve been going every week lately…I’m so impressed with them.
