We are a week back now from vacation and I’ll admit that all I want to do is plan another one. Isn’t that terrible?
Of course, I actually like staycations a lot too. Do you do those? Last summer, my husband took off for a week and we stayed here but it wasn’t all that relaxing. Why?
I had the brilliant idea to take that week and completely repaint our entire house. I mean the ENTIRE house along with all the trim too. I also redid the furniture, added shiplap to two of our walls and repainted all of that as well.
It was an undertaking and then some. This summer though, I am telling myself we are not doing that again. I really want my husband to be off with the kids and me to just relax at home without tons of projects.
We joined a local club for lack of a better word nearby and they have a workout area and pool, so I’m really hoping we just get to spend our time at the pool this summer.
Of course, I wouldn’t mind going to the beach either but I always feel like I need another week off to just recover after going away for a week. Do you get that way?
I do find the beach vacations though are the most relaxing so I may have to plan one of those at some point.
