We are officially on spring break. YAY! That means a week to rest and relax a bit. We have so many things we would like to get done around the house, so we opted to stay in town this year. I’m actually looking forward to it. It’s a nice little breakfast before finishing out the school year.
That also means, we are nearing the end of the school year. We will only have 8 weeks left after spring break. The countdown is on. I swear each year seems to go by faster, anyone else feel that way? I’ll soon have a 4th grader and kindergartner and I feel like my son was just in kindergarten yesterday.

I try to remind myself to soak it all in during the school year because it will soon be over and yet by the end of the year, I feel like it went so fast again and now they are getting older. It’s just so crazy as a parent how quickly time goes.
I think honestly that’s what makes me really want to do quick and easy meals for dinner time. I want to spend as much time as I can with the kids and not always cooking all evening. Of course, it is nice the times when they join me in the kitchen too. I’m sure I’ll be doing a lot of baking this week with my daughter.
She loves to bake and cook and really enjoys being in the kitchen. It’s something we share together, and I hope she remembers it always.
